Summer Prescott has done it again! I loved the first book in her new series but this book has left has left me speechless. There is no doubt she is a talented writer but her skills really shine in this new series. The characters are simply amazing with a great story to tie them together. The small town is the perfect setting and it never surprises me with all of the drama and mayhem. You expect this small down to be boring and quiet and it's anything but. I love how the book could easily be read as a stand alone but is so much better after having read the previous book. Although it helps to get to know the characters and their story, it adds a lot to the book and makes you feel like you are building a relationship, and while this is true, at the same time each story is introduced, developed and concluded in the book while still leaving readers looking for more. Despite the murder, the book has a feeling of hopefullness. Very well written.Product details

Thanksgiving is over. Time for some good food at Hawg Heaven.
It's not quite opening time at Hawg Heaven and the crew from the, tv show, Hunting Treasure USA is wanting in for breakfast. They are welcomed inside. Rick, from the tv crew, wants to know if there is any place in the area for hunting for treasure. Rossie mentions a place and would see about getting Franz's number. Rossie wants to get some things for the restaurant .
She visits Franz and gets his phone number and passes it on to the tv crew. She also meets Preston and her son fishes with him while she goes and hunts in the barns
The cameraman is found by Franz one evening. Preston is beaten up and in the hospital. Hawg Heaven is vandalized and a killer is caught.
If you’re looking to spend a few hours in a small town filled with food, page-turning suspense, drama, and budding romances, then come in and get to know Rossalyn “Rossi” Channing, the owner of Hawg Heaven Café (which she opened in honor of her late husband). While you’re “visiting”, you’ll get to know Ryan, her strong and determined son, her reluctant neighbor, restaurant patrons, her cook and of course the detective who is helping her prove that once again, she is not the cause of a murder.
Although this book is the second in the series, it can be enjoyed as a stand-alone. Ms. Prescott’s ability to build a storyline within a series, yet manage to make each of her books enjoyable on its own is pure genius.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to read one of Ms. Prescott’s books or any of the books in the Cozy Mystery genre, and have a penchant for pork served at breakfast, lunch, dinner and of course dessert, then this is a book that will forever endear you to Summer Prescott and this yummy genre.
