The horse draw, warm-up jumps, re-rides, what to wear, what not to wear… Finally, a book is available that explains the inner workings of the IEA. Ms. Garner draws from her years of IEA stewarding to provide the information new IEA members need in clear, concise language that any non-horse parent can understand.
Praise for “A Parent’s Guide to the Interscholastic Equestrian Association”
“This book will become the parent’s guide to everything that is wonderful about the IEA. The author has covered all of the required information in a very parent - friendly way, I recommend riders read this as well – it should become a ‘must read’ for all IEA members.” -Simon Towns, IEA Zone 4 Administrator.
“Love this book! A concise and easy-to-understand guide, it's everything you and your rider need to know for a fun and successful IEA experience. I wish I had this book years ago when my daughter was beginning her IEA journey!” -Wendy Benevides, IEA Parent.
A Parent Guide to the Interscholastic Equestrian Association eBook Amanda Garner
The author's information clearly comes directly from the in-gate of an IEA show ring. Garner is an obvious authority on the inner-workings and regulations of the IEA, and she delivers her extensive knowledge in a voice that is supportive and considerate of new and prospective IEA members and their parents. As an IEA coach, I recommend this comprehensive guide to all current and incoming riders. I wish this guide had been around when I began coaching. I would've been far more prepared for my first season.Casey Dunn, equine professional (publishes under Jadie Jones - author of the Moonlit series)

A Parent Guide to the Interscholastic Equestrian Association eBook Amanda Garner Reviews
A good introduction to IEA with basic information.
Would be great if I could actually download and read it.
Knowledge to support my horse loving and riding daughter is contained in this simple to read and understand book, a must read for moms
My daughter is hoping to ride for her stables IEA team as soon as she is old enough so this was a great way for me to learn the basics. Very well written and easy to understand for us "non-horsey" parents.
This was a very helpful Guide for a new parent starting their child in IEA. There is a lot going on with this association that you don't always get to see when you are showing. I have all the answers I need and found out a few more things that I found very interesting with the association. I am glad I took the time to read it!!!! Very Helpful!!!!!
Being that my daughter has never competed on an IEA team, I really didn’t know what to expect. Each aspect of an IEA show is explained in detail, which was very helpful to both me and my daughter. Thank you.
The book gave a nice overview of the IEA.
